What is the difference between breakfast blend coffee and house blend coffee?

These terms are often used to describe different types of coffee, and the exact characteristics can vary depending on the coffee roaster or brand. Although there are some general distinctions which I will mention below

  1. Breakfast Blend:

    • Typically characterized by a lighter roast profile.
    • Has a milder flavor with bright acidity.
    • May include beans from different regions or countries.
    • Often considered a well-balanced and easy-drinking coffee.
    • Commonly associated with being a good choice for the morning due to its lighter and more refreshing qualities.
  2. House Blend:

    • The term "house blend" can be more variable and is often specific to a particular coffee roaster or café.
    • It may consist of a blend of different coffee beans, often chosen to create a balanced and consistent flavor.
    • Roast level can vary, but it might lean towards a medium roast, providing a balance between acidity and body.
    • Sometimes considered a signature or flagship blend for a coffee roaster.
